Bigger & Better Business

Bigger and Better Business became the first national program of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. It was first introduced at the Tenth Anniversary Conclave, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (December 1924). When Bigger and Better Business was adopted as a national program, special emphasis was placed on encouraging and promoting Negro businesses. At its inception, the program sought to encourage Negro businesses to improve their business acumen, efficiency and service to the public, to be competitive with other businesses.

Welcome to the Eastern Region’s Bigger and Better Business Initiative

As your Eastern Regional Director for Bigger and Better Business, I am proud to lead our mission of driving economic empowerment and financial literacy. Guided by Project S.E.E.D. (Sigma Economic Empowerment Development), we are committed to creating IMPACT through engagement, education, and empowerment.

Our goal is to advance financial independence, foster generational wealth, and close the racial wealth gap. By working together, we will strengthen the economic well-being of our brotherhood and the communities we serve.

Our Core Focus Areas:

Engagement

We will build professional connections among brothers, identifying opportunities for collaboration in financial services, real estate, and entrepreneurship. Together, we’ll create a supportive network that uplifts our brotherhood and maximizes our collective potential.

Education

Financial literacy is key to creating lasting success. Through targeted programs, we’ll provide tools, mentorship, and training to help brothers navigate today’s economic challenges and opportunities.

Empowerment

Empowerment means equipping brothers with resources and confidence. By fostering leadership and entrepreneurial development, we can create a ripple effect of economic growth within SIGMA and beyond.

Moving Forward Together

Bigger and Better Business is more than an initiative—it’s a movement to transform economic realities. Together, through Project S.E.E.D., we will leave a legacy of financial strength and opportunity for generations to come.
